Previously, on Death Battle...

Jason realized that they were somehow out of the basement, and was back at the camp. And he was in the lake, drowning…like the last time…and there was nobody to save him…

No one…

Jason’s struggles slowly ceased. The strength left his body, and the child slumped back into the water. He sank beneath the surface, closing his eyes…

A hand clamped onto his wrist.

Jason’s eyes shot open, and he gazed around in confusion. Who had grabbed him? Hadn’t they tortured him enough? Weren’t they going to let him die in peace?

And then with a mighty heave, he was pulled out of the water.

Lake water dripped off Jason’s body as he gasped for air, taking great gulps of oxygen. He shook his head, trying toe blink the fogginess out of his eyes.

“Jason…” came a soft voice.

Jason froze, his blood turning to ice.

It can’t be…it can’t be…

But there was no mistaking it. The warm voice, the tender breath, the gentle smile…

Jason was still. His chin shook. A single tear came down his face.

“Mo…ther…”

            --------------------------
For a moment, Jason and Pamela looked at each other.

And then Jason trembled, and began to cry yet again. But this time, it was the cry of joy, of happiness, the sheer elation of finding out that he wasn’t alone. His mother was with him. Someone in the whole wide world still cared.

And as Pamela looked down upon Jason, more thoughts began to race through his head. He was saved! His mother had come to the rescue! The kids were wrong, he still had someone by his side! What will they do now? There were so many possibilities! First, he would get cleaned up. Then, he would spend some time close to his mother, so he’ll never be lost again. Then, time for some revenge on the kids. After that…well, go to the movies together, look around an amusement park, or see animals in a zoo, have a nice dinner outside…so many things he could do now that he was saved! What should he-

“Jason…” Pamela’s voice came again.

Jason looked back up into his mother’s face, realizing that he had a giant grin on his face. He didn’t care. “Mo…ther…I…”

“Shh.” His mother reached out with her other hand and stroked Jason’s cheek. “It’s all right, baby. I know everything. I understand now.”

“R…really?” Jason stammered, eagerly looking up.

“Yes…terrible, so terrible…” Pamela suddenly got a faraway look on her face. “Such terrible things…to so many…”

Jason suddenly felt his hand slip a bit, and quickly grabbed on tighter. He was still weak though, and so he hung on and said, “Pull me up mommy…”

“So many…all dead…what have you done, my child?” Pamela’s gaze snapped back to Jason. She was still smiling, but she didn’t tighten her grip.

Jason was confused. “Mom? Wha-“

“Don’t try and play innocent with me. I know what you’ve done.” Pamela said. The air seemed to get colder all of a sudden. “Why did you kill…all of those sweet children?”

Jason’s blood ran cold. He suddenly felt a stab of panic, and grabbed onto Pamela’s hand with both of his.

“Mom! Why are you siding with them? They pushed me in! I didn’t do anything!” Jason said, his voice rising slightly.

“Oh really? Then how is it that everywhere I go, the only news I hear is that you’ve been a very bad boy, slaughtering people over and over again?” Pamela said, the honey rapidly dropping from her voice.

“Mom! They lied to you! I was never a true killer! I didn’t want to be!” Jason said, his voice rising to a shout.

“I don’t think so, young man!” Pamela said. She pulled away her hand from Jason’s cheek…and slapped him. Jason reeled back in shock. His mother…the only person he ever trusted…the one that always said she loved him…was turning on him.

“You’ve killed, and killed, and killed yet again! You’ve steeped your hands in blood, coming back again and again to torment the people, and for what? For what?!?” Pamela said, her voice rising as well. The air was turning colder by the second, and Jason’s body began to freeze up. “And after all that, you say you are not a killer? In what sense?”

“I only did it for you!” Jason bellowed. He grabbed on even tighter to Pamela’s hand. “I wanted to get back at them for killing you! I only did it for revenge! I killed, but I did it all because I loved you!”

Pamela stopped. Her hands suddenly went limp.

For a moment, Jason thought he had finally convinced his mother. She knew he wasn’t the bad guy here. He could still escape! He could-

Pamela began to laugh.

Jason, dumfounded, stared at his mother. She giggled and giggled, and soon it turned into a loud guffawing. The laughter rang into the night and shook the waters of Camp Crystal lake.

“You did it…for me?” Pamela said between laughed. “For me? All this…for mommy?” She said, gasping for breath. “So you could get back on those who killed me?”

Jason, not understanding what was going on, simply nodded.

Pamela grinned at him, but somehow, it was not the warm smile he knew. It was cold, like a reptile’s right before it swallowed up its prey. “but Jason…you were the one who killed me just before, weren’t it?”
Jason stopped. Memories flashed into his mind. Lashing out with his machete everywhere, cutting down anything that came into his path…and finding his mother as the victim, crumbling right before his very eyes…

Pamela must have seen the look of horror in his face, because she shook her head sadly. “Alas, Jason, as much as I love you to death…” she chuckled again. “You heard yourself. You want to punish every last person who hurt your mother.”

Jason’s eyes widened. He knew where this was going…he frantically tried to pull himself up, but Pamela slapped him again, hard. While he was still dazed, she reached over and started to pry Jason’s thin fingers from her hand.

“Come on, Jason…avenge your mother…with your last breath…” she cooed, ripping her hand out of Jason’s grasp. Jason screamed, and grabbed Pamela’s pinky.

This only made his mother laugh.

“You’ll be a good boy and kill the one who killed you mother, right? Pinky promise?”

Jason’s eyes were wide, and brimming with tears. It was not supposed to be this way! It was supposed to be a grand reunion, with his mother embracing him, kissing him, breathing life back into him! Why was she abandoning him now? Was it because she didn’t love him anymore? Did she not say that she cared for him? Was that all a lie? A lie by his very own mother?

Am I…truly alone?

All the fight went out of Jason. He simply fell limp, his head bowed in grief.

With a wink, Pamela let go.

Jason, fell back, and landed into the lake.

This time, he didn’t bother resisting. What was the point? His mother, the only reason he kept on killing and killing, was now gone. She had taken herself away from him. What purpose did life have for him anymore? Why should he live when nobody will never even care that a kid drowned at the bottom of Crystal Lake?

“Hurts, doesn’t it?” a voice whispered at Jason’s ear.

Jason turned his head feebly…and came face to face with Freddy’s horribly burnt face. He screamed, water rushing into his mouth, and jerked away from the Springwood slasher. Freddy simply grinned, and then swam over to where Jason was, curled up into a ball, terrified.

“To be abandoned by your own mother…she was what kept you going for all these years, wasn’t she? And now she’s denied you…you’ve killed her…” Freddy said, stroking his chin. “Quite the story indeed…”

Suddenly, the Springwood slasher lashed out and scraped his clawed hand across Jason’s face!

Jason screamed, blood flowing from the wounds, quickly turning the water red.

“You want to I came to be this way?” Freddy chuckled. “Let’s see…” As he spoke, he touched the tip of his blade to Jason’s arm, sending shivers down the former slasher’s spine.

“So you see, I was waaaaay too bored with my life. I mean, go to work! Work your ass off! Come back! Eat, drink, and sleep! How boring is it?” Freddy started to drag his blade along Jason’s arm, cutting a thin red line bit by bit. “So I started to look for ways to make life more interesting. Money, games, drinks, women…and all of them, in the end, fell flat.”

With a single flick, Freddy cut through Jason’s arm, Blood spilled out, and numbness told Jason that a tendon had been severed.

“But I didn’t give up! I kept searching, looking for something to take the dullness out of my life!” Freddy began to cut Jason’s other arm as well. “And eventually, I found it! You want to know what it is?” he cut through, and then swam over to Jason’s leg to work on it as well. “Well, let me tell you…” he cut through Jason’s legs. “What I realized.”

Freddy appeared in front of Jason, who was gasping for breath. The Springwood slasher simply grinned, enjoying the terror of the poor wreck in front of him. “You see, it was the thrill…of murder.”

Freddy suddenly gestured with his hand, and Jason felt a sharp pain on his limbs. He cried out, but the water muffled the scream. And in front of Jason’s very eyes, the tendons and veins started pulling themselves out of his arms and legs. They stretched longer and longer, bringing a wave of pain with each tug.

“The part where you roll your brains, trying to come up with the best way to give your victim a horrible end…” Freddy continued nonchalantly. “The anticipation before the execution…” he suddenly swam upwards, but his voice still whispered at Jason’s ear. “And the elation when you succeed…and hear the last pitiful scream before you finish them off.”

All of a sudden, the strings that had been protruding out of Jason’s limbs were given a giant tug. It pulled upwards, and within moments, Jason broke out of the water surface. He hung limp, only supported by the veins that were still dripping with blood.

“That’s what I lived for. That’s what I still live for. Because no matter how many times you ‘die’, it’s still worth it when you hear the scream.” His arm was suddenly jerked backwards, the bones cracking out of place. Jason let out a high-pitched yell. “Ah~! Like that! There’s the scream!”

Jason looked up weakly…and saw Freddy hovering above. He held a marionette controller in his hands, and Jason’s “strings” were attached to it. Freddy grinned, and then started to twiddle with the controller.

Jason was shakily lowered to the ground. His feet hit the floor, and he would have collapsed if it weren’t for the strings holding him up. The strings tugged again, and Jason shakily began to walk. His feet skidded on the ground, and he fell more than once. But his controller was relentless. He kept on stumbling forward, no knowing what was to become of him, nor caring…

Laughing reached his ears. Jason lifted his head shakily, and saw the kids that he had murdered at the bloodbath…and kids who had killed him in the first place. They were crowded around him, like old times, looking completely healthy.

For a split second, fury rose in Jason’s heart, burning through the cloud of fear and pain. He growled, and reached for the nearest boy, ready to wring his neck-

His arm was then painfully jerked back, his growl changing to a whimper. The boy he had tried to kill laughed in his face.

“What were you going to do? Kill me?” he laughed even harder, the kids around him joining in. “Yeah, nice try, shitface. Who do you think you are to touch me, you filth? Do you even have the guts to do it? You, the lowest motherfucker on the planet, kill me? Anyone?”

Jason only glared at him in hatred.

“Oh wow, the mutt’s angry now.” The boy said nonchalantly. “I’m soooooo scared!” He drew back, whimpering sarcastically. The other kids around him grinned and also shrank back, waving their hands in front of them in an exaggerated manner. “Don’t hurt us, Jason! That is, if you can in the first place!” They stopped, looked at one another, their smiles widening. Then they giggled.

A chuckling sound joined them. Jason glanced up and saw Freddy grinning down at him. “These are my children, Jason.” Freddy chuckled. “I claimed them, marked them for slaughter. Who are you to touch them? Do you really think you can outdo me? Me? The one who always keeps people up at night, and haunts the darkest corner of their minds? Yeah, no. I will always be superior to you. To anyone!”

Freddy roared, and then pulled savagely on the strings. Jason cried out once more, and fell flat on his face. The laughter of the other kids faded away, leaving silence behind.

Jason slowly raised himself, his tendons trailing out of his limbs. He was now standing in front of a huge pit. It was almost as big as Crystal Lake itself. It was so deep that Jason could barely see the bottom, where hard, unforgiving rocks lay.

Another tug, and Jason was dragged to the edge of the pit. As he got closer, Jason struggled even more, going to the point where he ripped his own skin even further to try and escape. Torn bits of flesh dropped to the ground, along with drops of blood.

“Come on, Jason. Why are you still fighting? It should be clear to you by now that our power differences are like night and day.” Freddy said from above. “And I will always be the dominant killer. You want to know why? I have no qualms about killing. I kill whomever I wish, however I wish, whenever I wish. And that terrifies people, because they never know if they are the next targets or not. You, on the other hand…” Jason was shoved to the very edge of the pit. His feet were barely touching the ground, and his body hung out into the abyss.

“You may seem like this cold-blooded murderer, but in the end, you always kill for someone. You mother. And why? Because…” Freddy spat on the ground like he had something dirty in his mouth. “…because you still love her.”

Jason wanted to deny it. But he couldn’t. He did love his mother to death. Freddy was telling the truth.

“So in the end, you are tied down by the limitation of human emotions. You aren’t a true nightmare for the people. You are just another deranged man, a mad dog who doesn’t know its place.” Freddy then lifted his claws very close to the strings holding Jason up…from falling into the pit.

“And it’s up to a guy like me…” Freddy began, but Jason cut him off.

“F-freak.” Jason, still in his childlike state, spat at the Springwood slasher, venom in his voice.

“Oh? A freak? ME?” Freddy burst into sadistic laughter, hunching over, holding his stomach. “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Oh, that’s rich! Me, the freak – HEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!” Freddy laughed and laughed, tears rolling down his cheeks. “You think I’M the freak here? Look at you! How do you describe yourself then?

Jason looked down at himself. Pale skin that hadn’t seen the light of day for so long. Thin, brittle arms and legs that could barely support the needlessly heavy body. And a deformed head, with a face that only a mother could love…

No. Not even his mother. His mother had abandoned him. She wanted him dead now.

Jason slumped over, and Freddy grinned, feeling the boy’s spirit break.

“No.” He said, touching the strings with his claws. “It is you who’s the real freak. Acting like you are on the same level as me when you are nothing but an ugly mutt driven by revenge…when I just do it for enjoyment…you are tangled hopelessly in the bonds of the past, still struggling to break free.” As he spoke, he slowly began to cut through the strings holding Jason up.

“Me, on the other hand…” Snip. A string snapped. Jason lurched downwards.

“I’m free from all that.” Snip. Another snapped.

“And now…” Snip. Only one string remained now. Freddy began to cut through it in an agonizingly slow pace, savoring every flinch he drew from the helpless boy.

“Stop…” Jason pleaded. Freddy ignored him.

There are no strings on me.

SNIP.

The final thread snapped. All of the strings were cut, and Jason, being the marionette he had become, fell down limply.

His white form became smaller, vanishing into the darkness of the pit…and then he was gone.

Freddy touched back down on the ground, and then held a hand to his ear, as if anticipating something. “Wait for it…” he muttered.

CRACK. The sound of broken bones and crushed flesh echoed up from below.

Freddy grinned. “And that concludes the show for tonight!” he spread his arms wide, and bowed to an imaginary audience. “We’ve made quite a mess, haven’t we? Ah well. No my problem!”

He then turned and walked away.

Unbeknownst to Freddy, this fight was far from over.

Deep down in the pit, through some unknown cosmic or beyond the 4th wall interference, there lay something in the pit that Freddy had never intended to put there.

A nanite medikit.

And when Jason’s body, mangled and broken, landed just a few meters away from it, it activated. Lights beeped, and symbols flashed across the screens. A red laser swept over the body in front of it, analyzing the damage.

And then it burst open, and a flood of tiny gray particles spilled out. It began to slither along the floor, all going towards Jason’s body. Soon, they covered it, and got to work.

------------------------------------

Freddy slinked along the shores of Crystal Lake, reveling in his latest victory. He hadn’t had that much fun in quite a while. And the night was still young. There was so much…so much that he could still do tonight…

Heh.

Freddy couldn’t help but chuckle. The great Jason Voorhees, terror of Camp Crystal Lake, reduced to a sniveling coward in the face of his nightmares. This power…this is what he lived for. No one could challenge him. He was the one true god on this Earth-

Thump…

Freddy froze.

Thump…

The sound came again.

Thump…

Leaves rustled. Twigs snapped. Freddy looked around, trying to spot the source of the disturbance, but found nothing.

Thump…

The sound was getting closer and closer, and as it approached, it sounded like…footsteps…

Thump…

Freddy regained his composure in the blink of an eye, and then grinned. So another victim has decided to give him a treat tonight? Well, he’ll most certainly oblige-

Thump… Thump… Thump…

The footsteps were much louder now, and something heavy could be heard crashing through the branches.

Thump… Thump… Thump… Thump… Thump… Thump… Thump…

“Come on then.” Freddy said, slowly raising his clawed hand. “Come o-“

And then he froze.

Thump…

“What…the…hell?” he whispered.

And then he cried out as a fist slammed into him, throwing him through a thicket of thorns, tearing into his arms and legs. He broke through the undergrowth, and crashed into the dirt.

“Ouch! What did you do that for?” Freddy grumbled, picking himself up slowly. He growled, not appreciating the little manhandling right now. He stood up-

A foot firmly planted itself into his midsection, warranting a grunt from the Springwood slasher. Once more, he was thrown back, breaking a tree in half this time.

“Gah!” Freddy shouted, as a tree branch landed on him. Throwing it away, he anticipated the attack this time, and backflipped out of the way…just as a machete slashed the ground where he had been lying just seconds ago.

Freddy landed on his feet holding his sides in discomfort.

Thump… Thump… Thump…

The heavy footsteps sounded, and Freddy looked up to see…Jason.

Only he was changed drastically than he was before. His mask was different, taking on a more jagged, shiny look. Parts of his arms and legs were replaced with silvery mechanical parts. Even his machete seemed new and improved, taking on a more slender, refined look opposed to the crude hunk of metal his original blade was.

Uber Jason had finally come out to play.

Freddy looked on at this unexpected turn of events. He stared in shock for a second…and then laughed uneasily. “Well, my boy, you seem quite healthy! How did some time down under treat you, eh?”

Jason didn’t respond, but only fixed the Springwood slasher with a cold stare.

“What happened to you? Did you find a health extension down there? A mushroom perhaps? Or is it…” Freddy suddenly raised a claw in an ah-ha gesture.

“Nanomachines, you son of a bit-“

WHAM!

Freddy did get to finish as Jason sprinted forward, faster than Freddy could react, and delivered a strong uppercut to his chin. Freddy was sent flying towards the moon, flailing his arms and screaming.

Before Freddy had even touched the ground though, Jason was already on the move. He sprinted forward, machete raised, and swung it…just as Freddy’s body came down.

The result? Jason’s blade directly hit Freddy’s skull.

“GAAAAAAAACKKKK!” Freddy screamed as he felt his head splitting open. A long gash ran from his forehead to the back of his head. Blood burst from it like a fountain, and Freddy fell to the floor in agony.

Jason didn’t pause in his assault. He slashed yet again.

SHIIIINK!

Freddy screamed as the blow cut through his spine this time. He felt a white-hot pain as he heard the crunching of bones, and then…numbness. He tried to move his legs. He couldn’t.

SHIIIINK!

Freddy screamed yet again, and this time, the machete came down right in front of his nose…and in a surprisingly delicate fashion, sliced very thinly into his head. Jason then reached out and grabbed Freddy’s face.

Freddy chuckled nervously. “Woah, hey, hang on a sec. We can take this through over a nice cup of-“

With one decisive pull, Jason ripped the Springwood slasher’s face right off!

Freddy stopped in mid sentence, his faceless body stock-still. And then it fell down to the forest floor.

Jason, perhaps to relish his vengeance, lifted up the face, his new trophy…

A large, steaming Hawaiian pizza was in his hands.

Jason was taken aback for a moment. He stood there, trying to understand why a face had suddenly morphed into a pizza.

“They call me, ‘Pizzaface-senpai’ in some other town. Fitting name, isn’t it? I actually like it myself!” came a low, amused voice.

Jason looked up…and then a clawed hand snatched the pizza away from him. It instantly fell into eight neat slices.

Freddy stood there, holding a slice in his hand. He grinned as Jason stood there, still bemused. “Surprised?” he said, and bit down on the pizza. He sighed, savoring the taste. “Well, I though you would be glad that I was giving away free pizza!” he munched, mozzarella cheese sticking to his gums.

Freddy chuckled, then popped the rest of the pizza back in his mouth. “Come on Jason.” He said. “You appear, all powered up, and this is the best you can do? Punch harder, cut faster? Bo-o-o-o-o-o-oring!” He thrust his clawed hand in front of him. “If that’s all you’ve got, then this fight’s as good as over! This is the best I can do!”

He swept his hands in front of him, and suddenly, large boulders burst from the ground. Before Jason could react, they slammed into him knocking him off his feet. He sailed through the air and smashed into a tree.

“Good news, ladies and gentlemen! This show just went into overtime!” Freddy laughed, and then swiped his hands again. This time. A slab of stone, unnaturally flat, burst out of the ground right underneath Jason’s feet! He was thrown high into the air, somehow holding onto his machete.

Another slab of stone pulled itself out of the ground, and then soared towards him. Jason put his machete in front of him, trying to defend himself, but it was not use. It slammed into his body and sent him sailing through the air.

SMACK!

The other stone slab, which was waiting in position, slapped Jason across his entire body yet again, sending him flying in the opposite direction!

SMACK!

The first stone slab did the same.

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

The slabs went to work, slamming Jason’s body every time he came in range, playing a game of Ping-Pong…with Jason as the ball.

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

“And Freddy scores! Freddy scores again! Freddy blocks it! Freddy SMASH! Ohhhh, that was a close one-pity it didn’t work. No wait, HE SCORES! Yes, he is winning the match!” Freddy was jumping up and down on the ground, yelling and laughing, waving his hands madly like a conductor.

The game of Ping-Pong with Jason went on for a solid five minutes before Freddy got tired of the act.

“And now, for the final finisher!” Freddy slammed his hand on the ground, and a gigantic stone column erupted from the ground! Its end then split, and wriggled into the shape of a huge clawed hand. It snatched Jason out of the air as he fell.

“BE CRUSHED!” Freddy roared, and the stone hand clenched into a fist. It then plunged into the ground, going in hundreds of feet in, burying Jason under tons of dirt, steel, and stone.

“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Too bad, Jason! Victory was mine from the start!" Freddy guffawed.

THUMP…

Freddy’s grin melted from his face as fast as ice cream melting under a hot Sun.

THUMP…

“No…” Freddy muttered, looking extremely annoyed.

THUMP…

“WHY…THE HELL…WON’T YOU DIE?!?!?” Freddy roared.

The rubble then exploded, and huge rocks pounded the earth next to Freddy. A great cloud of dust rose up…

And from the wreckage rose up Jason, without a single scratch on his body.

Freddy stared in shock. “How are you doing this?!?” he said, taking a step back.

THUMP… THUMP… THUMP… THUMP… THUMP… THUMP… THUMP…

Jason’s footsteps shook the earth every time it came down.

“This…can’t…be…” Freddy said. He quickly swiped his hands in front of him. Several tree branches ripped themselves free, twisted together, and formed wickedly sharp blades. Freddy hurled them at Jason.

They simply bounced off his armor, doing no damage whatsoever. He simply walked on, slowly closing in on the Springwood slasher.

Freddy growled. Another flick of his hand, and large pebbles rose off the ground. They spun, and morphed into bullets.

“Fire!” The bullets shot towards Jason. They hit everywhere, his chest, his legs, his arms, his face…nothing happened. Jason simply walked on.

“No…no, no, NO!”

A huge wave of dirt rose up around Jason and encased him like a cocoon. It hardened, forming a tight cage around the slasher.

It lasted for a whole three seconds. One pound on the dirt walls, and it collapsed, and Jason shuffled forth. He looked more like an avalanche than a person now, ready to swallow everything in his path.

“Come on, Terminator! Work with me here!” Freddy screamed in frustration. Metal cylinders appeared everywhere around Jason. There was a chorus of snap-hiss, and Jason was surrounded on all sides by…lightsabers, of all things.

“Die, you ugly mutt!” Freddy growled, and then he pointed at Jason.

The lightsabers all shot forth, aiming towards Jason. They punctured his neck, back, feet, hands…and pretty much everywhere on his body. Jason paused for a moment, his hands faltering a bit.

Freddy looked on with a hopeful smile, wondering if that had done the trick…

And then all the lightsabers were thrown away from Jason, as he shook his body once, and moved on. There were burn marks all over him, but he paid them no mind. Already his nanites were working on repairing the wounds. The only thing that mattered now was his target.

Freddy muttered angrily, saying stuff that would make even Jack Sparrow would cringe. He lifted his hands again, trying to hold off the unstoppable terror-

SHIINK!

“NOOOOO!” Freddy screamed as his hands were chopped off. They fell to the ground, splattering into jelly. The owner of those hands stepped back, looking up at Jason with terror on his face. “No…” he whispered.

Jason stopped, his machete raised high above his head. Moonlight shone down on the two, lighting up the scene; Freddy, out of options, lying on the ground, and Jason about to deliver the blow.

A sigh escaped from underneath the mask.

“Kill……for……mother……”

Jason swung.

SQUELCH.

Blood burst forth in torrents from the Springwood slasher’s body. Jason’s blade cut through his body, severing him directly in half. He was split right down the middle.

For a moment, he stayed still, the look of shock still evident on his face…and then his halves separated, and landed on either side of Jason.

Jason stood to his full height, blood dripping off his machete. The ground was stained a dark red, and so were his clothes.

The nightmare was over…?

The blood on the ground began to bubble suddenly.

Jason took a step back. He gripping his machete tightly, wondering what oddities was about to come out now. He raised it above his head, ready to cut down at a moment’s notice-

Out of the blood, something sleek, rectangular, and rugged slid out. It rose above Freddy’s corpse, blood dripping off its cover, leaving it pristine.

It was a book. An old book that seemed to be bound in human skin.

For a few seconds, Jason stared at the Necronomicon ex-mortis, unable to comprehend what has going on.

And then the book burst open, and light flooded out.

Jason shielded his face with his arms as the pages started flipping on their own accords. Words could be seen on the pages, burning fiery red. Bluish-white light was shining from the book, covering the area, and washing over Jason.

Jason took a step back as hot wind blew, ripping at his clothes. He stood his ground, and the light intensified. It grew stronger and stronger, until it was as bright as a star…

Something heavy fell to the ground.

The Necronomicon snapped shut, and the light cut off.

Jason slowly lowered his arms. He blinked a few times, trying to refocus his vision again.

And the face of an elderly woman came to his view.

Jason froze.

The machete slipped from his hands and landed on the ground.

It couldn’t be. It was just impossible. It had to be a trick.

And yet, there she was. His mother, Pamela Voorhees, was standing in front of him.

For a moment, Jason thought he was about to get scolded again. His mother had come to rebuke him. He wasn’t worthy of her love anymore. He couldn’t remain as her son. He had to go. Nobody cared about-

“Jason…”

Something about the voice caught Jason’s ears. It was different. Different from the cold, unforgiving apparition Freddy had summoned before. This one…her voice was filled with warmth, pity, and above all, love. Pure, motherly love for him.

Jason slowly approached, hesitant to reach out for the fear of his mother vanishing, or worse, rejecting him. He needn’t have worried though. His mother continued to smile, and walked towards him as well.

“My dear, dear boy…” Pamela reached where Jason was. She slowly reached out with her hands and touched Jason’s face. “You have grown…so much…”

Jason couldn’t move. His shoulders shook. How could this be? How could his mother be so kind to him? Didn’t she hate him now? Wasn’t he just an ugly mutt?

“Jason, don’t listen to what others say about you…” his mother gently caressed his cold, metallic cheek. “Not matter what you do, no matter how deep you choose to sink…I will always be with you. I will support you. I will be there to cheer you on.”

Jason’s eyes grew wide. Could this be true? Was this how his mother truly felt about him? Was he truly and completely forgiven?

Could he…could he be his mother’s little boy again?

Jason’s body shook, and a moan came from under the mask.

Pamela simply smiled. “Oh, Jason…you may have gone through some hardships in life, but always keep this in mind.” She pulled him in close, putting her face close to his own.

I will…always…love you…

Jason was crying silently now. It was over at last. His mother was back. And she still loved him, still would love him. They would be reunited, mother and son, at last, after so many years………

……

……

……

……

……

……

……

…”heh.”

Jason, who had his head bowed, jerked up.

His mother’s face was in front of him. She was smiling.

And then her face split open to reveal a wide, Kureger-like grin.

Jason couldn’t react. The blades stabbed directly into his eye.

He couldn’t exactly feel the pain, but everything went black. He stumbled back, weakly grasping the air in front of him, trying to comprehend why his mother was gone, yet again-

“So gullible, Jason…” came a low chuckle.

Jason looked up, his vision returning to him…and saw Freddy’s horrific, burnt face. He grinned even wider, and leaned in close.

“So weak…still giving into you emotions, after all that…” Freddy leapt back, and laughed. “That’s why you can’t win.”

He then waved his hands. The air rippled behind Jason.

Jason whirled around, and suddenly, the very fabric of space and time was ripped open. A great hole opened up, and began to suck everything in its vicinity.

It was a portal directly to the dedite dimension.

Jason stumbled, and realized that he was getting sucked in as well. He planted his feet firmly on the ground, but couldn’t stop the movement as his shoes dragged on the ground, leaving a deep trench in the dirt.

Straining not toe fall in, Jason looked up at Freddy…and saw him smiling. He tried to rise up, dash towards him. He wanted to beat that man’s brains out, choke him, make him suffer for what he had done…but his strength was fast leaving him.

“I told you, Jason!” Freddy shouted over the roar of the wind. “I could have ended this fight whenever I wanted. Victory was mine from the start! I only wanted to get every last drop of entertainment I could get from you before disposing of you trash.” Freddy chuckled, and the wind increased its suction. Jason’s feet were starting to leave the ground, and he desperately grabbed at something, anything that may help him delay the inevitable.

“And what a show it was! But alas, all shows must come to an end…for now…” Freddy smiled. “And this is the final curtain call!”

Jason was lifted completely off the ground. He fell towards the portal, flailing helplessly. He howled and howled, but could do nothing as he was sucked in.

“Hasta la bye bye, Jason!” Freddy gave a cheerful little wave, and-

SNAP!

The portal shut. The air returned to normal. The night was still again.

And there was nothing left of Jason. No sign of the would-be terror of Camp Crystal Lake existed.

It was over.

Freddy stood in the moonlit clearing, surveying the scene with great satisfaction. And in light of all the fun he had tonight…he couldn’t help but laugh.

“Hehehe…hehehehehehehehehehehe……HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

The laughter echoed through the night. It was the sound that kept the children awake at night. The sound that nightmares were made of. The sound that meant the end of your miserable life.

The laughter…of Freddy Krueger, the nightmare of Elm Street.

Freddy grinned…and spat on the ground where Jason previously was.

“Welcome to my nightmare, bitch.

K.O!

Johnny: Well…that happened.

Kym: Wait, wha- Freddy WON?!?

Johnny: Yes. As impossible as it may sound-wait, how are you here? I thought Jason beheaded you!

Kym: Ahahaha, well…I’M BACK!!!!!

Johnny: ……O_o that was the worst Terminator impression I ever saw. And that doesn’t explain how you survived.

Kym: That was an alternate universe version of me. You read comic books. You know how it goes.

Johnny:……you know what, that actually makes a lot of sense…

Kym: Enough of this! How the hell did the official butt monkey of Death Battle win? How?

Johnny: Well, because of Freddy’s pathetic as his win/loss record, some people don’t seem to get how powerful Freddy truly is. I mean, let’s look at the basics of his powers in the dream world. Reality manipulation. REALITY MANIPULATION. The power to change reality to suit you needs. And this includes making someone a puppet by using their veins, turning their bed into a water pool, and actually transfiguring a person into a cockroach!

Kym: Okay. That is actually true. Freddy’s ability is actually really f*cking OP. And he has it in the real world as well thanks to the Necronomicon!

Johnny: Right! With a wave of his hand, or with simply a thought, he can turn you into an ant and squash you underfoot. He can make you brutally stab yourself to death. He can literally end you life with the flick of his finger. The only reason why he is defeated again and again is because he tends to play around with his victims before killing them, which may present a problem when dealing with much stronger foes. (AKA Lust, the Mask, Joker, Tohru Adachi, etc.)

Kym: But as for Jason…well, there’s not doubt that he was powerful, but he didn’t have the means to end Freddy for good. Sure, he could tank many of Freddy’s attacks, but Freddy is a sneaky bastard, who will go for more underhanded ways to defeat victims if a frontal assault doesn’t work.

Johnny: And speaking of sneakiness…Freddy had shown to be much smarter than Jason in many occasions. Yes, Jason’s isn’t stupid, but he isn’t known for his smarts either. Freddy, on the other hand, is a sick, twisted, but brilliant mother*cker, and is more likely to come up with a suitable strategy against a tough foe like Jason.

Kym: Even uber Jason didn’t change things much, as Freddy is still pretty much a god with his dream powers and the Necronomicon. He could summon a black hole, strip his nanomachines from his body, or banish him to hell.

Johnny: Also, as kindly pointed out, most people who manage to defeat Freddy do that by dragging him out into the real world, where his powers are supposedly rendered moot.

Kym: However, this wouldn't work for Jason for two reasons. One, in this battle, Freddy possessed the necronomicon, which would give him reality-warping powers in the real world as well, meaning that it wouldn't change anything if the fight took place in the real world. And second, Jason has neither the magical nor strategic capabilities to escape the dream world. All he could do was to tank Freddy's attacks continuously, but even that had its limits.

Johnny: Overall, Freddy’s reality-manipulating power was something Jason wouldn’t be able to overcome, while Freddy had plenty of ways around Jason’s durability.

Kym: Well…good night, Jason, and don’t come back.

Johnny: The winner is Freddy Krueger.

Looking at this now first question why did you add the necronomicon for Freddy because that is not standard to him and I’m pretty sure ash is using it and second people already know how powerful freddy is in deviantart but there is a lot a characters that can beat freddy even with the necronomicon and he no god he can be beaten and sure he clever and smart but freddy toy his opponents around all the time and you only made this battle because the movie was a tie and you are salty that freddy didn’t win
